2001 Mid-Season Rebuild

After the first few events it became clear that ITB GTI #001 was in need of some major attention. So the next event will be skipped to rebuild the shocks and get the suspension mounting points repaired. Additional changes will include mods to the engine's sending units in an effort to get back up to the power levels that car had prior to the harness melt down.

Shocks will be revalved and rebuilt. Consideration is being given to converting to a single or even double adjustable setup.

Upper strut mounts had failed after many years of hammering and will be replaced with new VW Motorsport spherical bearing mounts.
