Event number two would see the Bildon GTI campaign the always fast Nelson Ledges road racing circuit in Ohio. Nelson Ledges is one of the fastest tracks in the north east and offers little time for mistakes on this rhythm track.

The first qualifying session finds the teams GTI closely matched by a VW Golf from C&G Automotive Pittsburgh. Clearly this would be the competition for the weekend. In the race, Don leads for half the race with other VW close behind. The C&G Golf is fast, but Don's car handles better. On the long back straight, Don is passed and finishes a close second. Would Sunday's race be even closer?

On Sunday morning, after qualifying first, Don goes into the race confident that he has something for the C&G VW Golf. On the start, the other Golf gets a good start as it has the inside position which is critical into the first turn at Nelson. It passes Don into the first turn and the pack settles down for a few laps.

Noticing he is quicker in the turns, Don sets up the Golf for a few laps into the tight turn 9/10 area. After a few laps, Don decides it's time to make a move on the C&G Golf in traffic as a slower Dodge Neon enters the corner. Don dives fast to the inside and pulls up next to the Golf. The Pittsburgh-based VW turns in and the two cars touch. Don's car comes out for the worse with a severely bent tie rod and has to come in to the pits on the next lap then retires to the paddock. As they say 'that's racing' and Bildon leaves Nelson with one second place finish and valuable NYSRRC points.
