    Disaster strikes. A plugged radiator and an overheated engine forced the BILDON team back on their heels early in the weekend. It would only get worse. After a quick cylinder head swap and repair of the cooling problems, the Bildon GTI was back on track but down on power as the rings were badly worn from the heat.

    We took the start in last position. Team driver, Terry Coates moved quickly through the field to position us as high as 4th in ITB at one point. However, after running less than 1.5 hours, the GTI was forced to retire. This time electrical gremlins resulting from a shorted battery which damaged the ECU and wiring beyond repair sidelined the car.
