The Bildon Motorsport ITB Engine is built by long time VW/Audi tuner, Interprep Performance Tuning. Modifications are limited to bolt ons and non-lightening machine work, so attention to detail is critical to obtain a performance advantage.
The engines for this year are using a new custom made windage tray and baffling made by VW Motorsport in Germany.
Every componenent in the engine is modified to the most advantageous tolerances within the rules. Even the smallest bolts and pulleys are balanced to ensure a free revving powerful engine. Note the tiny weight brazed to this pulley.
The cylinder head is modified to bump the compression up to the allowed limit. Intake ports and manifolds are modified at the mating face to match openings identically.
Fully digital Engine Management Systems. Bildon Motorsport is developing systems to enable the successful racing of all Digifant powered cars.
