FF2000 & IMSA Lites standout to pilot GSM Racing GTI

Chris Meredith, a gifted 19 year old racer from Braselton GA has been chosen to drive the GSM Racing sponsored by Bildon Motorsport Volkswagen GTI contesting the upcoming Lime Rock round of the Koni Challenge.

The FF2000 and IMSA Lites driver deivered a convincing performance at a recent team driver test at Roebling Roads Raceway, prevailing against a number of other would be candidates for the seat.
 
"Our invited drivers participated in the competitive selection process with great enthusiasm. We'd like to thank all of them for considering our team. As the driver chosen to compete with us in the next riound, Chris now has a great opportunity to showcase his talents with us on the Koni Cup circuit,” said the Team Owner Jon Lewis.
 
For Chris Meredith, piloting the GSM/Bildon GTI provides the opportunity to develop yet another aspect of this racer's formidable skillset. "I'm a long time fan of touring car racing and the opportunity to compete in the VW GTI for the first time will be very exciting ” proclaimed Meredith. The car was fantasic to drive and I'm really looking forward to my first Koni Cup race,” said Meredith, who has previous racing experience in Formula and Sports Prototypes.  

The Koni Challenge, formerly known as the Grand-Am Cup Series (GAC) and its sister series the Grand American Rolex Sportscar Series (Rolex), are North America’s premier platforms for professional endurance road racing. The cars that compete in Grand-Am Cup are production-based, “uni-body” cars running in two classes: Grand Sport (GS), “Sportscars” and Sport Touring (ST) “Touring Cars”.
